Danilo Radenkovic – born and bred in Berlin, found his passion for cooking in his family’s hotels. From an early age, he was intrigued by the diverse cooking styles and techniques that he experienced there.
As soon as he was old enough, he began his apprenticeship in the Hilton of Berlin. Soon after successfully finishing his study, he started working all over Europe – a couple of years in Switzerland, Portugal and Spain to name a few. Dan has worked for many well-known Michelin-starred head chefs as well as working as a private chef. He has experienced many different culinary traditions whilst travelling the world, including those from Central America, South-East Asia and the South Pacific. Dan still loves exploring and wants to continuously improve his knowledge and become better every day.
In 2013 he left Europe to start his journey in New Zealand. When we opened in 2018, we were lucky to have Dan help us get off the ground running. He has been a major part of our success as a business and we couldn’t do it without his passion and knowledge which drives our exceptional team. Dan’s menu designs are a work of art and we are always impressed with his impeccable attention to detail and styling of each and every dish. Zane Grey’s is very proud to have him as our Head Chef.
