Our location, which is just 25 minutes from Kerikeri National Airport, makes it an easy trip for out-of-state travellers. We’re also in close proximity to Kerikeri and Waitangi to accommodate the family not staying in Paihia.

Vendor Call-out: Reception Venue – Zane Greys (formerly Alongside). We had a bit of stress with this one as the business went bust. Luckily new (old?) owners swooped in to keep the place open. Staff here were really enthusiastic and accommodating and I think we got a better night out of it as they were much more flexible and about what we wanted rather than the rigid “wedding package” offered under the old ownership. Pimm’s cocktails were a highlight too so definitely consider doing that for your wedding!

Hi Michaela, OMG i can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done during our wedding planning journey. Your help has been soo amazing. You, your staff and everyone at Zane’s were such a pleasure to work with, please give everyone our super thanks. Everyone, and i mean, absolutely EVERY ONE of our guests really loved the wedding, the layout, the scene, the weather, the food- ohh my goodness, our only complaint was that the food was too yummy and they didn’t have enough room to squeeze more in. Hayden and I, and our little family had a wonderful week in Paihia too. Some guests have already made plans to revisit Paihia for another getaway weekend and said they will 100% be back at Zanes for their meals.

And yes, absolutely, Hayden and I will be back in Paihia for our 1st wedding anniversary, maybe with no kids this time. We will have to make a special dinner at Zane’s on the 16th of February 2020 :)- will be in touch.
